If you are an existing national group of Duchenne Parents it is important to become a member of UPPMD. Important for you because you will find mentors who can help you to improve things in your own country, but also important for the Duchenne boys and men. The more countries are connected, the more members we have, the stronger our voice can be.

If you are an individual and not yet organised, please register at the Duchenne-community website and find other members from your own -or neighbouring countries- as well as already longer existing organisators who will be willing to help you setting up an organisator in your own country.

United Parent Projects Muscular Dystrophy (UPPMD) is owned and managed by parent project organisations set up by parents of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in many different countries all over the world. These national projects are run by parents for parents. UPPMD is managed by parents you have chosen to lead your national parent projects.

The organisation came together after we realised that there was no sense in working in isolation from each other. We all share the same aims and dreams and they can be realised more efficiently using collective experiences and resources.
